Life Of Pi (Novel)

Joy of post-SPM:
Finally I get to enjoy reading novels again!
Nothing beats sitting on my comfy bed
and getting lost in another realm
with a healthy dose of fiction! :)

Life Of Pi may be magnificent on-screen
(didn't get to watch it btw :( ),
but off-screen,
the novel itself's so arresting
you simply can't put it down.

Yann Martel's way of stringing words
into sentences is remarkable.
Almost every sentence will make you
sigh with literary pleasure.
Its beauty lies in its calmness,
"as calm as the Pacific Ocean",
conveyed beautifully through Martel's writing.

It's so realistic,
I thought it was a real account!
Was convinced it's real as
he thanked Piscine Molitor Patel at the end of the novel.
Should've checked whether
it's fiction or not in the first place.
*slaps forehead*
But it turned out that
many people thought it's authentic too.
Now that's an exceptional author!

Omg pardon my gushing over Yann Martel.
Heh :)

P.s. Read it if you haven't already!
