Amazing Grace-Lin Yu Chun (Taiwan's Susan Boyle)

This is the only song
that gave goosebumps all the way!
Kudos to him for not giving up on his dream,
just like Susan Boyle.

He and Susan Boyle did the impossible,
why can't the rest of us?
Believe,
and all will be well

Pachelbel Canon In D-Original Instruments

Been searching the Youtube these days
for a good version of Canon
which I can learn something extra from.
Good grace,
I bumped into this magnificent treasure!
(Claire, must watch this!! :D)
This is not the ordinary Canon
that is widely publicised.
The Baroque version of Canon
is richer in terms of tonal quality
and the bowing techniques are different too.
The musical instruments used
are also from the Baroque era.
WARNING!
Be prepared to be on the verge of tears...
for a good reason. :)

Over The Rainbow-Glee

As a season-finale performance,
it ends with a sweet note.
Kinda like dessert after a heavy meal~

Personally love the carefree aura
that this song carries,
makes me feel like a child, you know. ;D

Anyway,
hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :)

Tchoukball Experience

All Form 3's had a taste of Tchoukball today.
It was definitely unique!
According to Wikipedia,
Tchoukball was invented by a Swiss biologist
as he wanted to build a harmonious society through sports.
Instead of suffering injuries,
Tchoukball (pronounced chukeball)
promotes teamwork and good values
by prohibiting contact and
defenders can't intercept the attacking's team passes
(unlike basketball and football).
If I'm not mistaken,
I think this is the only sport which
cares about society.

Whether we practised passing, shooting or defence,
it was fun and enjoyable-what's more for me who dislikes most ball games.
Heh.  :)
Our instructor,
Reggie and Khai Yin helped us a lot
in the process of understanding the game
and all the rules,
a big TQ to them!  ^^
Our class's representatives even competed with
3B's representatives
but we lost...
maybe we can win the prize for loudest cheerleading?

We only got to play for about 4 hours
but they asked us to stay back from 1-3 p.m,
so that's like a bonus for those who want to know more.
Unfortunately I didn't go (transportation issues)...  :(
But that 4 hours certainly made an impact on my life!
Hope to see them again soon~

Tchoukball attack!

Choir (Patriotic) Competition State Level 2010-Pictures

Here are the pictures taken after the announcement that
we are in 2nd place.
:/
Still happy,
though not satisfied.
Ok,
don't wanna babble anymore!
Enjoy! ;)

Gila pic, as Pn Elaine says it. Heh.

Naib Johan trophy.

Dunno what's in that box...

Choir (Patriotic) Competition State Level 2010

AH!!!
We lost to Bukit Baru!
Everything seemed to hang at one point
and then the host said
(much to the disappointment of MGSS girls,
though we expected it deep in our hearts)
sekolah yang mendapat tempat kedua ialah .......
SMK Perempuan Methodist!
Nevertheless,
I think we did better now
than we did at the Nationals' last year,
though the Nationals' was more important.
We were hoping for a miracle......
But when their performance started,
our hope (or maybe only mine)
started to fade.
We were still hoping for a miracle when the host
announced the 2nd place winner.
But it would just be unfair to put down such an amazing group.
So,
I guess we just learn our lesson
(though history repeats itself ever so oftenly)
and move on with life.
Which means,
another choir competition that we will
definitely try to give more competition to our rivals.
